Our Reception class supports and complements the children's school programme through fun, engaging challenges and thought-provoking topics. Each week, our youngest members of Nimble Minds are encouraged to explore new ideas, ask questions and think more deeply about the world around them.
Sessions combine stories, games, practical activities and lively discussions with short, carefully structured writing and maths tasks. These activities develop early literacy and numeracy while building concentration, independence, self-belief and confidence in putting ideas onto paper.
Our classes are deliberately kept small so that every child can receive individual encouragement and work at a pace that feels right for them. This allows us to provide extra support when needed, offer greater challenge when a child is ready and ensure that no one feels lost or overwhelmed. Children are encouraged to explain their thinking, listen to others, make connections and discover that there can be more than one way to approach a problem. We also develop important classroom skills such as following instructions, taking turns, working cooperatively and persevering when something feels unfamiliar.
Our aim is not to place unnecessary pressure on young children, but to nurture curious, capable and enthusiastic learners. By making challenging ideas playful and accessible, we give children strong foundations for Year 1 and beyond and help them develop a lasting enjoyment of learning.

Cancellation Policy


Cancellations made within two weeks of the course start date are non-refundable and non-transferable. At this stage, your child’s place will have already been confirmed and prepared, so we are unable to offer a refund or an alternative booking.


Cancellations made more than two weeks before the course start date are not refundable, but the booking may be transferred as a credit toward another course within the same calendar year, subject to availability.


All bookings are for the full course only. We do not offer refunds, credits, or partial refunds for missed days, regardless of the reason.
