Nimble Minds Foundations Programme Reception / Year 1 Curriculum (Ages 4-5)

This class has been carefully designed for children entering Reception in September 2026 who would benefit from beginning their reasoning and supported academic journey in a warm, nurturing and age-appropriate environment.

Our 10-week early preparation programme introduces the core skills that underpin future academic confidence and ultimately, successful 7+ preparation. Through engaging games, structured challenges and collaborative activities, children will begin developing:

• Early verbal and non-verbal reasoning

The curriculum reflects the structure and philosophy of the main Nimble Minds 7+ programme , thoughtfully adapted for younger learners through short, engaging micro-lessons, practical tasks and plenty of opportunities for supported participation.

Group sizes will remain intentionally small to ensure excellent provision, individual attention and the strongest possible foundation for each child’s learning journey.
