Reasoning Workshop

Year 5

7.15am to 8am

This small group course will be taught by Helene Jones. It aims to support children at this important stage in their preparation for the crucial Reasoning component of the ISEB Pre-Test, The London 11+ Consortium and CEM 11+ exams in Year 6.

Reasoning tests such as the CAT4 are also used majority of schools for ongoing monitoring of individuals’ progress and the results are used to determine ability streaming groups.

We will cover Verbal Reasoning, Non-Verbal Reasoning, Spatial Reasoning, Problem Solving, Analysis (Creative Comprehension).

The Nimble Minds Reasoning programme combines teaching and practice of Reasoning with vocabulary-focused thinking games designed to challenge children to think quickly and logically and be able to succinctly explain their thinking.
