Do you offer reasoning assessments as well as online lessons?
Yes, we do. Our standardised online reasoning assessments are followed up feedback consultations and bespoke lists of the very best and most suitable books, games and resources to boost reasoning and thinking skills at home.
Our online lessons are carefully planned to deliver active and engaging learning. Coupled with best of the crop online thinking games, these learning environments are not only fun but also boost concentration, processing speed and memory.
Both are invaluable preparation for reasoning in the 7+, 8+, 11+ and ISEB Common Entrance Pre-test.
What is the group size?
We teach individuals, pairs, and groups of up to six.
What are the advantages of the different group sizes?
Individual lessons are tailored to individual strengths and weaknesses. Able children are given challenges and extension. Those needing consolidation get the right practice at the level they need. Reasoning lends itself particularly well to this differentiation.
The paired and small group lessons have the advantage of a low teacher to pupil ratio. This ensures that every child interacts and participates actively in the lesson or workshop. All of the lessons and workshops provide practice with group work, group games and group discussions.
What is the focus of the lessons and workshops?
We focus on reasoning skills, preparing children for the: 7+; 8+; and 11+ and the ISEB Common Entrance Pre-tests.
This reasoning skill work is combined with online thinking games carefully chosen to boost critical and adaptive thinking, problem-solving, and collaboration with peers.
What will be taught and what is the structure of the lessons?
The thinking and learning games we play are devised to boost skills underpinning learning, including: concentration; auditory and visual memory; visual spatial; reasoning; cognitive flexibility; and logic.
In pairs and small groups, these activities provide opportunities for working together, taking turns, sharing ideas and contributing to group problem solving and discussions. This involves the teaching and learning of various verbal and non-verbal reasoning concepts, topics and associated question types. There is always a written exercise or short test to check and consolidate understanding.
How do I book and what is the cost?
What is the cancellation policy?

Can I book a group lesson with children I know?
